With speakers and attendees from around the EU and Taiwan, the gathering focused on projections, possibilities and promise of new, green, blue, and sustainable energy transition.

The event orginizoers hit the ground running with an impressive guestlist of experts and engaging presenters. Opening remarks by Lutz Guellner the head of EETO,Lee Chun-Li Deputy Director-General of Energy Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), and Giuseppe Izzo, Chairman of European Chamber of Commerce (ECCT) set the tone for what is possible if we work together towards the goal of implementing energy saving and carbon reduction technologies.

For this section of the forum we were treated to wonderful presentations highlighting hydrogen, geothermal, ocean, wind (on and offshore) power. Biomass and waste to energy solutions reminded us that trash can indeed become treasure and we learned of new ocean energy technologies featuring a “Dragon”.

Rounding up the forum - There was a panel discussion moderated by Jules Chang, Co-Chair of the Energy & Environment Committee (ECCT) and made up of experts from academia, government entities, research institutes, and the private sector. All panelists mentioned that although challenging, reaching net zero and the replacement of traditional energy is possible given time and cooperation.
