UBIK at Taoyuan Future Peak × BIOMED-X 2026
On August 5th and 6th, 2026, UBIK Consulting represented Invest in Grenoble Alpes at the Taoyuan Future Peak × BIOMED-X, one of Taiwan's most dynamic innovation and biomedical exhibitions, organised jointly by the ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) and the City of Taoyuan.
This year marked a significant milestone: the first co-organisation of Taoyuan Future Peak and BIOMED-X, combining Taiwan's startup innovation scene with the biomedical sector in a single two-day event. The format, resolutely BtoB, created the ideal conditions for in-depth exchanges with Taiwanese companies active in MedTech, smart healthcare, AgriTech and deep tech.
Grenoble Alpes at the heart of the conversation
As the exclusive Taiwan representative of Invest in Grenoble Alpes, UBIK Consulting showcased the unique strengths of the Grenoble Alpes ecosystem to Taiwanese entrepreneurs and decision-makers:
→ 2026 European Capital of Innovation: a title awarded by the European Commission, recognising Grenoble's leadership in innovation
→ 200+ healthcare companies and research laboratories, including world-leading institutions such as CEA-Leti, Clinatec, EMBL and the ESRF Synchrotron

→ A sister city relationship with Taoyuan since 2008, creating a privileged foundation for Franco-Taiwanese collaboration
A strong institutional presence
Beyond the booth, the UBIK team had the honour of meeting Mayor Chang San-Cheng of Taoyuan City, reinforcing the sister city ties between Grenoble and Taoyuan. The team also took the stage during the official opening ceremony, representing Invest in Grenoble Alpes in front of all participants.
Over the two days, 15 matchmaking sessions were conducted with Taiwanese companies from diverse sectors, from MedTech and AgriTech to advanced materials and clean tech, reflecting the growing interest of Taiwanese entrepreneurs in the European market and in Grenoble Alpes in particular.
